Former property director of Hill Samuel Asset Management, part of the Lloyds TSB Group, before the office was transferred to Edinburgh. During her 12 years there she was as a Fund Manager, managing Pension Funds, Life Funds and Unit Trusts. Responsibilities included determining and implementing fund strategy for mixed commercial portfolios, comprising a value of up to £500 million.
Ruth under took investment sales, acquisition work, development funding and asset management. She was responsible for the performance of funds under management.
Subsequently she was a consultant to Montagu Evans’ investment department for a couple of years before taking a career break.
